We the undersigned believe that development of the land at Maybush Orchard would mean an an irreversible loss of habitat for local wildlife. This area of land along with Maybush Copse, an 8 acre area of community woodland, are home to a wide variety of mammals, insects, birds and reptiles. A camera trap on the site recently photographed a polecat, the first known sighting of this endangered animal in the Chichester Harbour Area. If houses are built on this land we will lose this habitat forever and we call upon Chichester Council to refuse planning and to allow this land to be preserved for future generations.
