we, the undersigned, oppose any proposed development of Westfield Allotment Gardens that will involve the destruction of bio-diversity and threaten protected species such as Roman Snails, badgers and bats. We also petition for Town Green status to be given to Westfield Playing Fields, in keeping with its former status as Westfield Common
The scale of this support has forced the planning committee to confirm a formal meeting regarding the allotment site. My legal team is now drafting the application for Town Green status to ensure our case is ready for their consideration.

My grandfather has had a plot here for years. It would be a total disgrace to pave over that history.

What about the roman snails?? Seems like they just want to make a quick buck and ignore all the environment rules.

This place is the only bit of nature we have left around here. My kids love playing in these fields and seeing the badgers. Please dont destroy it for more boring houses!

Leave the gardens alone. So much wildlife lives there. Shame on the council for even thinking about building here.
