I have started a petition to change a law within the Maryland Worker's Compensation Commission. There is a rules that allow the insurance companies to rush a worker back to a light duty job even if they are taking a NARCOTIC.

This is dangerous because any Schedule 2 or 4 NARCOTIC causes the person taking it to be impaired. Their judgement and reaction time is effected and can result in DUI or worse an accident where people can be hurt or killed! My purpose for this is to be proactive and not reactive!

Unbelievable that they allow this. People on narcotics should not be behind a wheel period. Common sense people!!

I had to drive on those things once because work made me and I legit fell asleep at a stoplight. Never again. Stop forcing people to do this.

This is reckless. My neighbor was on those meds and could barely walk let alone drive. Someone is going to get killed.

MD needs to fix this law now. Its putting everyone on the road at risk just to save insurance companies some money.

So scary. How can they force employees to put themselves and others in danger like this? RIDICULOUS.
