Let’s try and Get the 2017 Marshall County Christmas Parade back to the way it used to be, with Lights, Sirens, Kids Smiling from ear to ear and hot chocolate. Maybe even change the parade route back so the elders at the Golden Towers who can't get out can see it again.

Updates

November 20, 2016

I have been meeting with town officials to push for the original parade route that includes the Golden Towers. They need to hear from you directly so please email your local council member today and demand that our elders get to see the parade from their homes.

The energy behind this parade proposal is growing every day. Post the link on your local neighborhood Facebook group and text three friends to get them involved.

I would love to see the parade at night again. The idea of actually seeing christmas lights wiuld be great! And it would allow those that work the day a chance to be there too.

I have so many happy memories of night time parade in Moundsville. I would love to see it back. And....lots and lots of noise. I was told that this was the quietest parade that many have seen....that's not the words that should describe a Christmas Parade.

Evening and in the dark would be wonderful and also make it so the elderly in The Towers could enjoy it would be perfect. Everyone should be able to enjoy the festivities. We call ourselves a community.

The first night time parade was in 1992. It started on second Street and ended at the Kroger's plaza. When I was little the parade started at the Plaza and when up Rt2, up 7th St up Jefferson Ave to second st. It was amazing. I really enjoyed being in the parades growing up. We would have more floats if it was at night.

I miss the night parade. The lights on the floats is what made it special when I was a kid. I also think it should come after Thanksgiving. To me, Christmas should be a lighted event. Since Christ brought light into this world.

Our parade has become a joke, Hartley any floats, very few bands, no sirens, no lights, no dazzle. The families of Marshall county are getting left out in the cold so to speak. Today was basically an hour of various cars riding through the parade.

Please!! These floats are made with tons of lights, which aren't seen well in the daytime parade.
