This was a tradition for many years for our family. My son proposed to his wife on a carriage ride during the lights in the park 11 years ago. I'd love to bring their kids now!

The police athletic league use the money from the lights in the park to help inner-city children learn and have fun together. What a tragedy that they’ve been denied this opportunity.. please contact Lenny Ricciuti get the lights back on in the park!

I think the holiday of light should come back to Albany in Washington park cause so many family have made that a tradition for year with there children and now putting the event so far away many family have to miss out and with todays economy many looked forward to doing something with there children and without transportation now many are without

I understand reasons cited for ending the program was traffic, noise, and park damage, it seems to me these things could be controlled to some degree. I've heard more people talk about missing it than being glad it's gone. I think it's worth bringing back.

I used to bring my family to Albany from Buffalo for the light show. We would make it a family weekend dining and siteseeing the Capital Region. Was so sad to see it discontinued and would love to see it come back. Thanks for your efforts on behalf of the City of Albany and the Police Athletic League.

I've lived in the neighborhood for more than 15 years and *never* encountered an issue with traffic because of the lights. Even as a non-Christian, I do miss driving past the park during the holidays and seeing the lights. It's just dark and sad without them!
