We believe that a Carnival would:
-Reconnect Townies to Charlestown
-Bring back nostalgic memories for older Townies
-Instill new memories for future generations of Townies
-Boost local economy for surrounding businesses
-Increase specatorship for the Parade
-Provide a fun and festive atmosphere for ALL AGES during Parade Week.
-Promote and increase funds for the Bunker Hill Parade
-Provide ample opportunities for local businesses and organizations to advertise
-Provide hope during a tough economic time, increase patriotism for Americans
The people of Charlestown would like to see this fun tradition of a Carnival to be resurrected for this years Parade Week celebrations.

We just hit two hundred fifty signatures and it is clear the city council can no longer ignore what this community wants. They have been stalling for too long while our traditions fade away. This momentum proves that Charlestown is finished waiting for permission to bring back our carnival.

This must happen it would be the greatest thing that has happened to this town in a very long time. Even starting out with the bazaar at St. Catherine's that use to be down there.
bring back the rides and games. townies need something to look foward to during parade week again.
I grew up going to the carnival every june. My kids deserve to have that same fun its a shame it stoped.
PLEASE BRING IT BACK!!! Charlestown hasnt felt the same in years. We need our carnival back for the kids.
Remember the old ferris wheel by the water? Best memories of my childhood were right there. lets make it happen.
