The proposed sale of Cheadle & Marple Sixth Form College Hibbert Lane Campus could mean the arrival of a supermarket outside the town centre of Marple. This could lead to more choice, better prices and more options for the community. Concerned residents and businesses have formed a local action group to raise awareness of the potential sale and make it clear to any proposed supermarket that they will face strong opposition to a store opening on that site.
