Today (9-22-2015) a Student riding home from Belleville East on their bicycle on the sidewalk got hit by a vehicle at the intersection of E. Main St and West Blvd. He was on the side of the road waiting for emergency services to respond. There are accidents on West Blvd very often. Today a bicyclist got hit. Before long a pedestrian coming or going to school or getting from point A to B could get struck, especially considering cars flying down West Blvd and the amount of Pedestrian and Automobile traffic, especially after school. Today is the day we need to start taking a lot of action in our community to make West Blvd SAFER from Carlyle Road to E. B St for the pedestrians and the operators of Vehicles. By doing so, the chances of something equivalent to or worse then this happening again would decrease exceptionally.

I emailed Principal Posey in May of this year about this situation and her response was that she would forward my email to Asst Supt. (Mr. Mentzer). Nothing was done and when I sent a follow up email, it was ignored. Something definitely needs to be done before a student is killed.
I'm a senior at Belleville East High school. I've been walking down that street since freshman year. I've went to the principal on this issue and nothing has been done. It's a shame that one of my fellow classmates has been hit. This issue needs to be resolved before someone is killed.
It sure is nice to see the kids taking some action. How about a stoplight? Make it happen before somebody gets killed!
i think we need some type of stop sign or a cop or some thing out there because it is bad and i live right down the rode and me and my sister drive here and it takes us like 5 minutes but on the way home it takes us about 30 minutes because we cant get out of the parking lot and my thing is they have a person for the buses to get out y cant we have a person or two to do that because then it would be so much faster

I used to walk across this street every day from Belleville East and this issue needs to be solved once and for all!

I go to east and really agree that there should be a change, I too have been almost hit before.
