Today I want to write a petition so we could modify the "Temporary protected status(TPS)." The Temporary protected status was made for counties that where in extremely terrible situation. So what the United States of America did was bring up an idea about Temporary protected status. People from other countries under Temporary protected status could come to the United States of America and stay here for a short amount of years. So what me and my classmates at the Seed School of Miami are trying to do is modify the situation.
The way we're trying to modify it is by making the people under Temporary protected status be able to apply for green cards or citizenship. The reason why is because people under T.P.S are creating lives here. Also, the united States of America consider this land as the land of free.It's sad because most of the people under T.P.S are making families here and they'll well be taking away from there families.So what we're trying to is give them a chance to stay here permanently.

I think that United States of America is the home of the free, the brave, and most important the home of the dream. I think everyone should have the opportunity to be safe and build a family that will survive. To apply for a green card is the first step and the second step is to become full citizens. I believe to be a better country we need to be better people.
