This petition is being created to support the passing of the original Development, Relief, and Education for Alien Minors (or DREAM Act/H.R.1842) which was originally sponsored by Representative Howard L. Berman and was introduced to both the U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate on March 26, 2009. I and many others would be grateful if you would sign this petition because we live in fear every day of being taken by INS to a country that we know nothing of because we left at such a young age. We are Americans in every way except one, on paper. In 2010 this bill fell a mere 5 votes short of passing. WE CAN MAKE THIS HAPPEN!
Here are some informative links for anyone who needs some information to make a decision on whether on not to sign. http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/bdquery/z?d112:h.r.1842: http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/z?c112:H.R.1842:
I have been meeting with local community leads to discuss how we push this bill back into the spotlight. Send an email to your representative today and demand they sponsor H.R. 1842. Text three friends right now and ask them to sign this page.

The momentum behind this push is real and it shows how many people stand with us. Send the petition link to three friends and call your representative this afternoon to keep the pressure on.

These kids grew up in our schools and played on our sports teams. It is just wrong to punish them for their parents choices.
