Everyday parents & nannies take their life & the life of the children in their care into their own hands attempting to cross at the Palm pedestrian crossing.
This crossing is dangerous and it is only a question of time before a serious accident occurs. We all witness cars which do not stop for the lights. The lights are not fit for purpose, nor is there any signage advising that the crossing is oncoming.
Our suggestions to improve road safety are:
The lights should change like regular lights from red to green.
Signage is installed to warn motorists that they are approaching a crossing with children crossing.
Speed bumps are installed.
