Our children need 'your' help. Mudgeeraba Creek is a small school and is desperate for your support.
Hardy's Road is a major thoroughfare and the main access to our primary school and it needs a pedestrian crossing from the school to the car park. Most of our children and parents cross this road every day and at the moment it is just not safe.
We recently experienced a temporary crossing which sensibly slowed down through traffic and kept our children crossing at the same 'safe' place.
This was amazing and showed us all how well things could work and how much safer all of our children could be. Unfortunately it was only temporary and has now been removed!
As parents we believe the current pedestrian system is just not working and MUST be changed before someone gets hurt.
Please sign our petition and let the council know that our
children matter and we need a permanent pedestrian crossing NOW before there's
a very preventable tragedy.

Please put a crossing in on Hardys road before someone is hit We will need a crossing person from 8.30 - 9.00 and from 2.30 - 3.30 anything less than these times will not work
The temporary crossing was brilliant and was used by both children and parents from day 1. A permanent crossing is a necessity and desperately needed.
This needs to happen. The current crossing is in the wrong place. I have personally witnessed many "near misses" and cringe that one day the unthinkable will happen. Please make this easy change happen!
Safety first. I know parents & kids run across Hardy's road instead of walking up to Springbrook-Mudgeeaba Rd to cross at the lights. The fact is people are always going to do this & a cross would be very beneficial to help keep children & parents safe. Well done.
I see SMALL children, like 5 and 6 year olds, RUNNING across this road. We must have a pedestrian crossing WITH a council operated crossing guard. Keep our kids safe!

Why has Mudgeeraba state 3 crossing with lolly pop ladies when creek has nothing ? Cars do not slow to 40 , this is a busy road in the mornings , it's dangerous for children to cross . Why is the council not protecting our children and putting a crossing there ?
