Please sign this petition for the Southend council to make changes to prevent a fatality on Southsea Avenue/Lymington Avenue/Glendale Gardens, Leigh on Sea.
Today there was yet another accident on the corner of Southsea Avenue and Glendale right at the time when many parents were taking their children to school.
Whether speed restrictions are imposed, double yellow lines, one way streets, whatever it takes, these roads MUST be made safer before someone is seriously hurt.
These roads are highly congested with children with two primary schools within a stones throw, a drama school, a dance school, not to mention the many many families who live in these roads.
Please sign so we can make these changes.

Something needs to be done about the dangerous parking of parents taking and collecting to and from Amanda Restell Dance Academy. The stupidity is shocking and causes accidents too regularly.
frequently witness cars forced onto the kerb as they drive along Glendale Gardens..... often going too fast. So dangerous for pedestrians.. often children on the way to one of the schools in the close area. Urgent action needed to prevent another accident.
I have been hit twice by wing mirrors just walking along pavement. One time it hit my elbow so hard I think that if that were a child head, it would have caused serious injury. Drivers never stopped to see if I was ok. I live down Lymington and some days you can't pull out safely as vans parked on that corner block view.
I live in Lymington Avenue and pulling across Glendale Gardens with little or no view caused by the yellow lines not being extended enough coupled with cars parking to drop off pick up is 100% now a serious accident waiting to happen!
Crossing this road is very hazardous - I have to ask my children to wait on the pavement while I go on to the street to see if there is any traffic coming. Two incidents have already occurred and safety on this road needs addressing urgently.
I walk my child to school every day. It's so dangerous. Please make our road safer.
This needs to be addressed asap - our street is a constant rat run!!

I DO NOT think one way will make any difference to accidents but speed jumps, speed restrictions etc would definately help. The One Way proposal from rectory grove to Glendale wionly encourage cars to go down the road like a racetrack.
