Make Southsea Ave/Lymington Avenue/Glendale Gdns safer

I walk my child to school every day. It's so dangerous. Please make our road safer.

I DO NOT think one way will make any difference to accidents but speed jumps, speed restrictions etc would definately help. The One Way proposal from rectory grove to Glendale wionly encourage cars to go down the road like a racetrack.

This needs to be addressed asap - our street is a constant rat run!!

Something needs to be done about the dangerous parking of parents taking and collecting to and from Amanda Restell Dance Academy. The stupidity is shocking and causes accidents too regularly.

The cars fly down Southsea ave we need speed bumps. Cars also park on double yellow lines on Glendale gardens making it dangerous to pull out & parents dropping dancers off at Amanda Restell dance school also park dangerously as they park where ever they can to do a quick drop off ... This is an accident waiting to happen!!

The traffic is too fast along Glendale gardens which is the route my kids take to walk to school . Lymington should be made a one way road as its too narrow to be otherwise

Leigh on sea is a rat run and is frequented by drivers going above and beyond the speed limit. Something needs doing.

frequently witness cars forced onto the kerb as they drive along Glendale Gardens..... often going too fast. So dangerous for pedestrians.. often children on the way to one of the schools in the close area. Urgent action needed to prevent another accident.

Such a busy stretch of road. Pedestrians - especially children need protecting against heavy traffic.

There are also a number of other roads in Leigh that also need a one way system so I also totally agree with this petition

I don't think the solution for residents is to create a one way network. Parking should be restricted to one side only and visitors/shoppers encouraged to park and ride or park and walk.

Don't let someone get hurt before taking action!

Too many parked cars around the junctions so cars pulling out can't see and cars mount pavements to avoid each other. Too many fast cars

My niece is 2 years old and lives in Glendale Gardens. I hope that Southend Council takes this petition seriously. But if it doesn't, I will be taking this via several avenues to the national press

There are many ways in which the roads in this area and in particular these two junctions could be made safer. The highway engineers at the Council just need to be instructed to address the matter, with an appropriate budget.

As a resident in Station Road I do use Southsea Avenue and Lymington Avenue from the London Road to Glendale Gardens and it is a dangerous junction on both roads

Please take control of these roads speed bumps would very likely make the road safer
