Dear Herricks Board of Education:
Lunar New Year is the most important cultural holiday for Asian American communities including people of Chinese, Korean, Malaysian and Vietnamese origin. We respectfully request that the district make Lunar New Year a district holiday so that our kids can stay at home and celebrate this holiday with their families. Your attention to this matter will be greatly appreciated.
