This petition is in support of terminating the Cypress Forest HOA and meeting to discuss ideas concerning the Cypress Forest community boat dock and the lot it inhabits.

Many Cypress Forest HOA members have recently come together expressing concerns regarding the effectiveness and efficiency of the Cypress Forest HOA. The primary function of the Cypress Forest HOA is to fund the lease, maintenance, electric, and insurance on the community boat dock. While there are many additional restrictions listed in the covenants, most are not and have never been enforced properly by the Cypress Forest Executive Committee.

Upon requesting legal advise, it was discovered that the Secretary of State only has one registered agent, Weldon Daulton, and one registered officer, Betty Whittle. The original 1987 Cypress Forest HOA, established by the land developer, was intended to run for 25 years. In 2012 the original HOA was either terminated, or amended, allowing the two above mentioned individuals to assume full control of the HOA's spending accounts. There is question as to whether the 2012 HOA was filed according to Louisiana Law Statutes TITLE 9-Civil Code. Should the HOA have been filed under false pretenses, any and all funds, penalties, interest and liens charged against property owners were done so illegally.

Additionally, members of the HOA have come together collecting documentation supporting the belief that the secretary has been incorrectly distributing votes pertaining to the HOA spending. Documentation discovering the timeline of events, leading up to the destruction of the community boat dock, has also been collected. Cypress Forest HOA has had knowledge of the unsatisfactory condition of the community boat dock since at least 2016. After receiving emails from CBB and RRCC LLC, it is discovered that, after more then a year, there has been no advancement on obtaining a plan, contract, or CBB approval to reconstruct the Cypress Forest community boat dock.

This petition is password protected to ensure all signatories are members of the Cypress Forest HOA and entitled to vote on this matter. Each property owner can sign the petition as many times as is equal to the number of lots owned in the subdivision. If there's renters then ask that they send the petition to their landlord. We have a better chance at getting the signatures that we need if we work together.
