Following the robbery and potentially fatal stabbing of a young man on 27th October 2014 in the alley way between Columbia Avenue and Eastcote highstreet,we would like to seek your support to petition to the council for improved lighting and the placement of CCTV along the secluded cut through. This is one of the main routes to the station, which many people in the neighbourhood use on a daily basis.
Improved lighting is long overdue and the addition of CCTV will most likely deter undesirables from the area and prevent the alleyway being used as a secluded area for crime.
Please add your support to this campaign to make Columbia Avenue and the surrounding area a safer place to live.

I wont walk down there after dark anymore its way too scary. Need lights at the very least, just get it done already.

Used to use that path every morning but not anymore. Its a total hotspot for trouble and the council needs to stop dragging their feet before someone else gets hurt.
