I catch myself looking at the park from my window and wishing I could take my kids back there again. We are nearing the hundred signature mark and I need you to pass this along so we can show the city how many neighbors are tired of this neglect.

I live near the park and I've watched it go from a place where children play to a place where drug deals and fights take place daily. I've called the police multiple times due to issues in the park. Please help make this area safe for the neighborhood again!
This is a children’s park that can no longer be used by children.. and it’s also a half a block away from an elementary school.. I have heard if it were designated a children’s park they would not be allowed to congregate there, something needs to happen.
Ive lived in Normal Heights for 15 years now. Its been at least a few years now that I have been feeling unsafe walking by this park. Please help clean it up and make it a safe place to go again. Its been long enough.. Thank you
Last week we were stopped on Adams by a man yelling “Call the police.” He’d been accosted by one of the park’s new denizens who had apparently robbed him of his cellphone. We called 911. But this is not something we want in our neighborhood!
Adams Ave Park used to be a nice little area to sit and watch the baseball games. Now, it is full of refuse, excrement and aggressive homeless people. Please have the area cleaned, cleared. These homeless need to be in a designated location.
Safe parks for our children
Seems like the hard working taxpayers are being pushed out of our public spaces, the ones we pay for.. No Adams Ave Park, no Ward Canyon Park. Even the school grounds near Ward Canyon - a shared usage space with the community is usually locked up. For what? So the city can clean up the east village and make more tax revenues? Do something, politicians.

I cross the street to avoid walking near this park, especially when I have my dogs. I do things to help these people all the time, drop off food, toiletries, etc and I get nothing but yelled or cussed at when I walk by. This is no longer a community park, but a hostile encampment.
