Seems like the hard working taxpayers are being pushed out of our public spaces, the ones we pay for.. No Adams Ave Park, no Ward Canyon Park. Even the school grounds near Ward Canyon - a shared usage space with the community is usually locked up. For what? So the city can clean up the east village and make more tax revenues? Do something, politicians.

I cross the street to avoid walking near this park, especially when I have my dogs. I do things to help these people all the time, drop off food, toiletries, etc and I get nothing but yelled or cussed at when I walk by. This is no longer a community park, but a hostile encampment.

There are also a bunch of homeless people hanging out at Madison and 40th, their trash is everywhere along with their tents and shopping carts

Due to transients taking over the park, it makes it usable only for them, and alienates anyone wanting to use the park for normal purposes. They are often drinking alcohol on the premises, creating trash at the park, and yelling/cursing at people walking by.

I had a man bang on my door at 3am. It scared us! Please help these homeless people in our area get to an area/program that can facilitate their needs. They are moving onto the sidewalks of our neighborhood as well.

They are doing drugs right next to elementary school.
Urinating and defecating right in the alleys around the school.
And I guarantee you 50% of them are the thieves in the neighborhood.

It is a joke and I don't feel safe walking around that park much less my girlfriend!!
And even if all the homeless WERE harmless, is this why we pay taxes to upkeep our parks? So kids can see homeless people dropping f-bombs, doing drugs, fighting, obviously storing stolen bike parts??? And yes, I've seen all of the above occur there!!
It's ridiculous.
