Final supporters
The undersigned are deeply concerned about the lack of maintenance of Littlefield Memorial Park Cemetery in Littlefield, Texas. The owners, Chip and Amanda Summers have been contacted by several individuals who are concerned, but have been totally ignored or given untrue excuses. The family of every individual buried in Littlefield Memorial Park has paid a mandatory fee to insure proper maintenance of the Park in perpetuity. Yet, the Park is overgrown, unwatered and littered. We are aware that the Texas Banking Commission regulates perpetual care cemeteries and are prepared to file formal complaints with them if necessary. Until the Park is properly maintained, we will urge others not to purchase gravesites in the Park. The undersigned request immediate and thorough remedial action to clean and maintain the Park under your legal obligation to do so, and as a sign of respect for those buried there and their surviving families.

I have been to the cemetery several times lately and it is in terrible condition. I have numerous relatives buried there including my parents and my son. I did speak to Bob about it at one time and he gave me the runaround about it is expensive to care for it!!
Not only have they not mowed, watered, and kept the weeds under control my grandparents headstone has been cracked in half top to bottom and side to side (6in very high quality granite) for over 4 months and still hasn't been replaced.
My family members have paid for perpetual care and I am disgraced at the condition of their graves. This is a sad disgrace as funds were paid to have these services. You can not even see the markers since the stickers, grass and weeds have over grown them.
I have parents, grandparents, and father in law buried their. I, too, have physically weeded, and removed debris from their graves. Over the past few years I have seen a tremendous decline in the care and upkeep at our cemetery. I totally agree that something needs to be done. I gladly sign this petition.
My daddy is buried there. I live too far away to maintain it myself. My grandparents have two additional lots here. We have chose to bury them somewhere else due to the maintenance of this property.
This used to be a nice respectful place when I was a kid. It is now an embarrassment to this town. Weeds, ant beds, and stickers have replaced grass. They need to hire someone to keep it up but only chew you out if one tries to tend to their loved one’s graves. Rules and regulations are a joke when the operators of this cemetery don’t even abide by them. I am considering moving my family’s remains to a properly maintained cemetery. Never have I seen a perpetual care cemetery as pathetic as this one is.
It breaks my heart. My parents paid for perpetual care and it has been abandoned.... tall dead grass and weeds. How can they get by with this and what can we do about it?

It is so sad when one goes to pay respects to a loved one and it can't even be seen because of overgrowth. The reason the markers are low is so the lawn mowers can mow right over them to keep it clean.
