To Whom It May Concern We Student of LUMS seriously condemns the recent increase in the tution fees at Lahore University of Management Sciences. Despite the fact that transition to the semester system has reduced the administration costs, because what was worked thrice a year is now to be done only twice a year as there will be two regular semesters only instead of three quarters case earlier. All students at LUMS are paying equally in fees and most increase is faced by students in a senior year. Where in a management institute we all are taught costings and methods of reducing costs why these methods are not being applied practically to the university itself. If university has taken 100 NOPs then why the burden is being put on us if university could not afford so many, why so many were taken initially. Today, we all are signing this petition to request the concerned people to reduce the fees to a decent level and decision should be released to students before the next fee is due otherwise we altogether are not paying next installment of the fee. It is our right to fight for this as most of us do not afford the new fee structures and our families are suffering because of our education.
