Property taxes went they the roof this year from last year all for the school and hospital?!?! But yet I drive to allsups for gas and need a new front end alignment cause the roads have so many potholes and bumps.. Doesn't make any sense, somethn needs to change
People are moving ,yet the tax and spend leadership ,just don't get it ,stop spending now bring stability back to Seminole. the board needs to come out publicly and make statement that taxes will not go up again,so people will plan on staying instead of planing to leave
Its getting harder and harder to pay these property taxes. I work 2 jobs, drive 10 year old vehicle and can't even afford to do minor updates. No one would buy the house for the value they out on it!
It is sad to see how some hard working people that have been living in Seminole for YEARS are struggling so much, we pay so much in taxes and the streets aren't getting any better and some small businesses are closing cause people have to give every hard earned dollar to tax.
Our taxes increased over $1200 from the year 2014 to the year 2015! This is ridiculous and something needs to be done! We cannot afford to live in Gaines County if something is not done. With the economy down, I do not understand how our taxes increased so drastically!
It has gotten beyond ridiculous...don't know what we're going to do.
I live in a double wide that looses value every year, proven fact yet my taxes go up? Really? On something that can't possible increase in value?

Give us a break. Oil goes down. Paychecks go down. Everything that went up because the price of gas stayed up even though the price of gas has fallen significantly We learned to adjust to this change and the tax revenue needs to adjust to this change as well.
