The Ontario government urgently needs to create more long-term residential care spaces for adults with autism and other disabilities. The CBC recently ran a two-part news series outlining the problems facing Ontario families who are unable to find placements for their adult children with disabilities. http://www.cbc.ca/player/News/TV+Shows/The+National/ID/2306284333/ http://www.cbc.ca/news/health/story/2012/11/19/roumeliotis-sarnia-family.html This is unacceptable. The Ontario government needs to invest in creating more long-term residential care spaces on an urgent basis.
