The government has decided to disqualify thousands of autistic children from a waitlist of the only known beneficial therapy provided. We have always known the IBI therapy is best done as early as possible, preferably between the ages of 2-5 years old. However this therapy does still greatly benefit children above the age of 5. Many children over age 5, have learned to speak, socialize and learn to do tasks they may never otherwise learned. Therapy is best given as early as possible. The problem, however, is that thousands of children did not get the opportunity at a young age because of the lack of government funding, wait lists for diagnosis and waitlists for therapy. Private therapy can cost over 50,000 per year. So unless you are a millionaire or plan to sell your home, that kind of money is impossible for an average family. What about our children who needed the therapy as soon as possible but instead got thrown on an incredibly long wait list? What about our children that have been waiting for years to finally get therapy that was promised! A one time payment of $8,000 has now been promised (which will only pay for 8 weeks of therapy), as well as a promise to more intensive ABA services which doesnt compare to what they have taken away. But that doesnt start till 2018. So now we wait.....yet again!

ALL WE ASK IS FOR OUR CHILDREN TO BE GRANDFATHERED IN AND NEW CHILDREN OVER 5 BE ABLE TO ACCESS IBI THERAPY AS CLOSE TO THE TIME OF DIAGNOSIS AS POSSIBLE. ASSES CHILDREN ON NEED NOT AGE! OUR CHILDREN HAVE A RIGHT TO A BETTER LIFE TOO

NO CHILDREN SHOULD BE SACRIFICED!
