The boat races held by the Southern California Speedboat Club at Long Beach
Marine Stadium since 1946 are an important part of this community, our heritage, our family values, local business revenue and entertainment. It is the reason we live, work and recreate here and it honors the longstanding heritage of boating, motorsports and family recreation. It is also the reason the City is the caretaker of Long Beach Marine Stadium as it is the last purpose-built facility for this type of event in the country.
We are not only the fans who support and bring in revenue to the businesses in this wonderful community for each event, but we are also the local residents and business owners, military veterans, the first responders, the hard-working mothers and fathers, yachtsmen, boating enthusiast and law-abiding supporters of this event WHO ASK YOU TO ALLOW THE SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA SPEEDBOAT CLUB TO HOLD ITS ANNUAL SPRINT NATIONALS AT LONG BEACH MARINE STADIUM AUGUST 6 & 7, 2022 AT LONG BEACH MARINE STADIUM.

Let them race. While any type of racing is inherently dangerous for the competitors, The Southern California Speedboat Club has gone above and beyond to ensure public safety at all times, which is evident by the strict policy enforcement at the course.
I have grown up going to the stadium with my father watching boat races since 1957. We had our summer water ski club meetings on wednesday nights and as kids we would have swim races across to the far shore and back in the dark. great memories. 1958 to 1965.
The long Beach Sprint Nationals is one of the Premier events in the Sprint boat community, And Marine stadium is THE place to compete and Spectate! I have been a spectator of and Competitor at this event for over 40 years, Please allow this Premier event to continue.
The race has a long history. I knew Both drivers that died in the accidents, and one was personal friend of mine. They would both roll over in their grave if they knew the race was cancelled due to their accident. Save the history.
This event is the Mecca ofPowerboat racing. ALL racers have this event on their to do list. Personally I am looking forward to the next events because my son is now old enough to complete, it would be a shame for him to miss out.
Raced there with my best friends for about ten years . Don’t let a few grumpy people ruin it and stop a great entertaining sport . Good luck let’s go racing …

we come to long beach sprint nats every year from Australia as part of our annual vacation, we have been to this event for the last 25years and love it just like we love the USA, with the new safety rules put in place we would to attend thanks.
