We the undersigned support the DUP in their efforts to obtain a LOLLIPOP PERSON at Dickson Primary School given the volume of traffic, the speed and the safety of our children. We believe that the criteria set out by the SELB is not taking into account the volume of traffic at the Mourne Road/Pollock Drive junction and number of young children attending Dickson Primary School. WE ARE CALLING FOR ACTION BEFORE A SERIOUS ACCIDENT HAPPENS!

I have spent the past several days documenting the traffic patterns at the Mourne Road junction to strengthen our formal appeal. The safety of the children at Dickson Primary remains our primary focus while we await a formal response from the authorities.

it is an accident waiting to happen its like playing a game of chicken with your kids to try and cross this road where children from nursery age to p7 have to try and cross over in the mornings you cant see up the road for cars being parked at the housed some sort of crossing is needed if it be a patrol person or a zebra crossing or pedestrian crossing before some child is killed
My children attended Dickson PS when there were two very needed lollipop persons. Can't believe there's none with no pedestrian crossing. Every other school have lollipop crossings even with pedestrian crossings.
fully support this. I travel this road every morning and sometimes have to brake sharply to avoid parents trying to edge their way out across the road with the kids. Only a matter of time before a serious accident takes place. Dont let this petition be hindsight!!!!!
Think it's a disgrace that they took the lollipop person away in the first place, children's lives are put in danger on this road, do we have to wait for a child to be knocked down first before anything is done about this.
I do not live in the area but have a grandson and great grandson who both attend Dickson Primary school so therefore I wish them to travel to and from school in safety. The powers that be must take every and all precautions to ensure safety is paramount, not cost!

I attended Dickson primary as did both my 2 children an there was a lollipop person then so why on earth is there none now when there is more traffic on our roads. All other schools have. Lollipop person so Dickson should also have one.
