Fife Council plans to axe at least half of their number of School Patrol Officers, due to financial cut backs.
Studies carried out at Royal Holloway,
University of London found children aged 6 to 11 suffered from “Speed Illusion”. Above 20mph, they couldn’t make a
reliable guess at a cars speed, unlike adults
who could accurately judge speeds of up to 50 mph.

Absolutely disgusting. Cutting funds by putting our kids in danger is not the way to save money. The council really need to rethink this asap.
