There has been so much economic development done downtown St Catharines within the last year, especially in the arts. Downtown now is home to a brand new Brock University campus - the Marilyn I Walker School of Fine and Performing Arts with hundreds of students who use art and craft supplies. St. Catharines currently does not have anywhere to buy supplies, with the exception of a large big box store that is very costly and doesn't carry the necessary supplies.

Craft Arts Market, a local shop in the heart of downtown who sells locally made arts and crafts has had an influx of people asking if they sell artist supplies. Although they would love to, they are not able to do this. Between the 80+ artists that sell in the shop, the First Ontario Performing Arts Centre, Marilyn I Walker campus and a city of thousands of people - we desperately need an affordable, Canadian owned, art supply store for everyone to enjoy.

Please help St Catharines continue to support the growing arts culture by signing this petition and forwarding it!

I spent the afternoon talking with local business owners who confirm that the demand for these supplies is growing every single day. Send an email to the St. Catharines Downtown Association today to demand they help us bring a dedicated art store to our neighborhood. Keep spreading this link so they cannot ignore the reality of our needs.

The momentum for a downtown arts supply store is undeniable. Post the petition link on Facebook right now and tag the official Curry's accounts to show them we are ready for a new location.

I am an art student at Laura Secord Secondary (a high school focused on the arts) and we would definitely appreciate not having to travel so far to get things we need!! With the only art local store being Michaels we definitely need this! Thank you!!! :)

With a high concentration of tattoo shops, art centers, galleries, schools, and hipster artists ... it's kinda stupid not to put one up

I am a Visual Arts major at the Marilyn I Walker School of Fine and Performing Arts. Having a Curry's store to purchase supplies for school that aren't supplied in our art store would be extremely convenient.

PLEASE put a store in St. Catharines ! I am a secondary art teacher and artist. The Niagara Region has been without a REAL, SERIOUS art supply store for FAR TOO LONG !

we could sure use an art supply store in the downtown - especially since the Hobby Shop has closed....and Currys is a great choice....

We are looking more like a starving arts community then a arts community.

There really is nowhere to buy art supplies in the region!
