Carroll Park is a wonderful place for kids to play and adults to relax. But it's incredibly dark in the evening. Kids can barely see the equipment, and parents can barely see their kids. And it's not as safe for people to walk through a dark park.
Since the sun sets at 4:30pm in the fall and winter, the park ends up being dark and unsafe for many hours every day.
The solution is easy and cheap: If we could fix the burned-out lamppost (next to the baby playground) and add a couple more lampposts, the problem would be solved completely!
