Hi Neighbors – there is a proposal to build pickle-ball courts in our beloved Village Green Park. We love this green multi-use open space we all enjoy for fairs, snow days, etc. The grand Village Green is a great visual for buyers interested in our community. Any concrete that reduces green in such a prominent place would have an impact on our property value. We are not against pickle-ball, just not in Village Green! Resident of 15824 Babcock St. Can’t they build it at Del Sur Park where the tennis and skate parks are? Seems more appropriate
You will notice the people signed in favor for the picketball court don’t live next to village green. I live next to village green and take my kids to village green daily and would hate to see a new fenced picketball court there. It does not belong there and would be an eyesore. Keep village green for what it’s intended for, a green space for all to enjoy.
Need to be as is, no need of pickle ball in village green, it will impact movie nights, fall festival etc.
I'm a Del Sur resident, and I oppose this proposal. It will reduce the space available for Del Sur community events, impact the beautiful green space and reduce the space available for our children to play. Not to mention the noise impact of adding one of the noisiest sports in the neighborhood.
NO pickleball court in Village green. The street will be pretty packed with cars parked on both sides! Kinda grid lock situation, creating the problems for local residents to use that section of Paseo Del Sur.
Stop building stuff… no one will use it!!! Let it be green and open…

We picnic and spend time at this park all the time. More concrete, gates and pickle ball noise will ruin the atmosphere of such an inviting park. Keep it in Avante or give access to Auberge for those who play. I vote for a properly built bike pump track, community garden or something that most residents would enjoy. Consult with the community, don’t cater to special interest.
