The Rutherford Co., TN employee handbook currently prevents their employees from carrying while at work. Commissioner Michael Wrather is proposing a change to this policy. State law in TN provides any employer the authority to allow or disallow carry. We here in Rutherford County, TN believe in the 2nd Amendment Right to self defense does not stop when one goes to work. We ask that the Rutherford County, TN Commissioners make the change in policy change necessary to allow carry permit holders as employees to have the choice to exercise their Right to self defense. We will forward this petition to the full commission, county mayor, and county attorney.
