We the undersigned residents and citizens of this great country, the United States of America, and on behalf of concerned citizens around the world, request that Tennessee Code Annotated 39-17-1309 be modified to allow principals to designate individuals employed by the school to carry, conceal and discharge lethal and nonlethan munitions to protect the lives of students, and to act in a necessary manner to protect such life, up to and including deadly force, and we request that local school boards, county and city officials , work together to make this happen.All potential designated persons will be properly trained, certified and licensed in the correct use,care, and maintenance of said munitions, and full background checks and mental evaluations will be conducted and on file prior to being designated.
We request that local school boards enact contigency plans which would involve uses of force if such a necessary situation arises, and when an incident is not in progress, such munitions would remain in a secure area.This is not meant to encourage any vigilate style actions, but rather to prevent loss of life to children and hopefully contain a situation until proper law enforcement personnel can arrive.

its about time we started protecting our schools the same way we protect banks. police response times are way too slow in rural towns and this could save so many lives.
