Our elected officials and City of Amarillo management would like us to believe that our tax dollars will not be used for their "revitalization" projects, including a convention hotel, the multipurpose event venue, and the parking garage. The truth is that your tax dollars have ALREADY been used and will CONTINUE to be used for infrastructure, maintenance and upkeep of these projects. Please sign this petition to demand that the Amarillo City Council put downtown redevelopment on the ballot and let us vote on it. We have been kept in the dark and mislead for far too long. I think the baseball stadium is the biggest waste of money when that money can go to fix city streets.
Let the people vote! Other areas are needing improvement in this city first such as softball fields, the civic center, our city workers are paid the lowest wages than any other city..!!!
ITS About time voters get to vote on things that take our tax money instead of their closed door policy
should be a potter county and Randall county ... These plans affect everyone !!!!
I believe in transparency. I also believe such huge expenditures of money should be up for a vote of the citizens. If the people in charge are so convinced they are doing what the citizens want, why would they be afraid of putting this up to a vote?
Please sign to FINALLY allow us Taxpayers a vote on the Ballpark.
Please revitalize that which will hopefully be attended. Not a ballpark downtown.

Would love to have a great downtown, but NOT a ballpark. A new Civic Center would be great. Maybe we could get some decent concerts and get back Trans Siberia Orch, The Home Cooking School and the Mel Phillips Boat and RV Show. Let us vote!
