This is Georgia not New York. What has happened to this nice community? There is no reason to tear this statue down. It is our history. Stand up, fellow Georgians.

We learn what to do and what not to repeat from our factual history - do not remove the truth - do not remove the Monument

I have lived in Glynn County practically my entire life and I oppose the removal of this Confederate Memorial and the cancelling of our heritage.

It’s time to stop the madness and the destruction of these magnificent works of art and war memorials. Our Great ancestors who fought and died in the second war for Southern independence and worked to rebuild a desolate South deserve to be honored by these memorials.

It is very important to keep the Confederate monuments in place It is insane that some people want them removed. I disagree very much.

Karl Marx wrote, Take away a people's history then they are easily persuaded. Take down all the monuments ,they leave themselves open for what follows.

My cousin was Confederate States Army Brigadier General John Echols. He commanded part of the Stonewall Brigade, was one of General Lee's generals, and escorted President Davis for part of his flight from Richmond; needless to say, I have a very high interest in this whole thing. You all just leave this monument alone, please. These Southern gentlemen and brave soldiers deserve to be honored; they were American patriots of the highest caliber.
