Street food brings affordable, authentic and freshly made to everybody!!! Since St. Martins Winers on trafalgar st, went bust, their shop and parking facilities had been empty giving it a derelict and deprived look, remanence of this though times of economical depression. After long months of enquiring with the owners of the land (Network Rail) they mention that the current leaseholders were the Wine Merchants, after contacting them and pitch our proposal to put our Street food trailer they were happy for us to make a good use of the empty space. In just 7 weeks we transform the location, with a bit of Brighton creativity, we brought a bit of color and good spirits to the area making it a striking sight to commuters and tourist a like. We manage to make a successful business, thanks with the support of the Princes trust, and we create good relationships with the other trades and business in the area. We manage to create 4 new jobs and became indirectly connected to the grow of other local business. But a couple of weeks ago, Network Rail took possession of the leasehold of the Wine shop and invalidate our agreement mention it was now "illegal" And they want the space empty, even as they DO NOT have any plans to do anything with the space for the forceable future! they could help small businesses grow while receiving income from the Rent, at competitive prices while the space is not in use!!!
