We are the residents of Macarthur Heights (MH), Campbelltown, located near the University Of Western Sydney.

Approx 966 residential dwelling plot has been sold by Landcom in MH since 2015. All land has been sold; residents moved to their homes.

Landcom is in the process of developing the Macarthur Garden North project with approx. 1250+ dwellings, located next to Macarthur train station. Landcom preparing to close the pedestrian bridge which is the only access point for the residents to Macarthur train station and Macarthur Square. The duration of the closure will be about 2 years.

Many residents, children, and elderly walk to the Macarthur train station and Macarthur Square shopping centre using the pedestrian bridge. University of Western Sydney (UWS) students also will not be able to walk from the train station to uni.

Without the bridge, residents will not be walk the train station & shopping centre, there is no other alternative walking access to the station & shopping centre at this point.

Landcom must provide alternative solutions during the closure period.

With absolutely no public transport being provided in MacArthur Heights this bridge is essential for daily use and must remain open. Otherwise alternatives for frequent travel at all hours need be provided so people can continue to live their lives.

It will be too far and unsafe for many residents to access the trains without this bridge. An alternative must be provided by Landcom particularly as their initial advertising for the Macarthur Heights blocks stated there is "improved access to Macarthur Station" which will no longer be true with the bridge closure.

Please don’t close the pedestrian bridge from Mac Arthur Station to Mac Arthur Train station as my son is studying in Hurlstone Agriculture high school and goes by train. He uses the pedestrian bridge everyday to go to train station .It will affect the whole community who uses train for work

A shuttle service from the carpark to the other entrance to the station would also work, otherwise someone is going to die walking over the Gilchrist Drive bridge.

It is unacceptable or land on to close the footbridge and force pedestrians to find their own access. This will prove dangerous as there is no road access to Macarthur Station via Macarthur Heights and no bus services currently service the area. Landcom must provide an alternative.

It doesn’t make any sense to close the pathway where the next shortest pathway is over the bridge on Narellan road, more than an hour walk. There is no bus within the area.

There should be an alternative to the bridge or else it would be difficult for the residents to get to work, bring groceries etc.
