I have submitted a formal request for a detailed breakdown of the council's cost projections. We are currently drafting a letter to the local planning committee to challenge the basis of their comparison with neighboring districts.

The growth in this petition confirms that the council cannot ignore public pushback on the proposed rent hike. I am currently organizing a formal meeting with the local planning committee to present these grievances as an official record.

Does anyone know if there is a meeting at the council offices next week? I want to know why they think they can just do this to us.
The state of the beach huts is shocking enough without them hiking the price up. Where does all the money go???
125 percent is absolutely mental. Who came up with this figure? Its just a money grab plain and simple.
Ridiculous. My family has had a hut here for years and we get zero maintenance as it is.
Just another tax on local people. Lancing council need to stop looking at what others do and start looking at the mess we have here.

can anyone tell me if this is the petition for the increase a few years ago or for the 2017 increase. I haven't seen much change since 1992 when I purchased my beach hut. The rent back then was £59.65. I shall be writing to Lancing Council to ask them to justify this increase. Has anyone arranged for us to try and meet to discuss further?
