The Governing Body have voted to go ahead and seek academy status.
A staff ballot presented to governors showed
69% staff who voted said “NO!” (72 staff)

31% staff who voted said “Yes” (32 staff)
63% turnout (104) voted out of a total 164 staff.
0 abstentions 60 staff didn't use their vote.
A very clear message to the GB - staff do not want to become an academy!

The administration continues to ignore the clear results of the staff ballot despite the overwhelming opposition to academy status. I am currently preparing a formal inquiry to demand transparency regarding their decision to proceed against the will of our educators.

Total disgrace that the governors are ignoring the staff like this. Listen to the people actually working there!!
Keep our schools public. Academy status just means profit over kids. We dont want it in Halewood.

Stop privatising our kids education. It should be community run not run by some private firm looking for a pay check.
