We want to change the law so that Local Councils in the UK must provide a safe crossing near a school.

I am honestly overwhelmed by how many people care about this as much as I do. Seeing this momentum grow reminds me that this was never just my idea but something you all felt was necessary too.

UNACCEPTABLE that these aren't mandatory already. My kids walk to school and I worry every single morning.

About time! Way too many cars speeding past the school gates while kids are trying to walk in. Dangerous.

So crazy that we have to ask for this. Fix it now.

Speed bumps and a zebra crossing are the bare minimum. Stop putting budgets over kids safety.

Seen too many near misses outside our school. Its only a matter of time til something bad happens if they dont put a crossing in.

My daughter almost got hit by a car last week trying to cross to get to primary school. Its basically a death trap right now. Councils need to act before a child actually dies.
