Dear Parents and Guardians,

We invite you to join us in advocating for an enhancement to the school bus service at Kennedy Baptist College. By signing this petition, you're demonstrating the pressing need for additional support, particularly in the Attadale/Bicton/Melville areas, and for extending services to areas south of the school.

This initiative directly addresses the practical needs of our community, especially for working parents who rely on dependable transportation for their children's education. Your support is crucial in ensuring that the services provided can meet the growing needs of our student population.

Thank you for your unwavering commitment and support.

The school administration keeps ignoring our emails while parents are left scrambling for basic transportation. I am tired of the excuses from leadership because our kids deserve better than this broken system.

We are in Riverton and would love to see a bus come to this area. At the moment we know of at least 8 kids that are coming from the area and having to car pool. As we can’t get on any bus service. I was hoping to get on the vicpark route but there is no space.

The school bus was a huge factor in making our decision to send our child to Kennedy as we are both working parents in the CBD and having to rely on other parents for car pool is not a long term solution! Hearing that some parents have been on the wait list for a year is more than concerning as we are juggling life already. Public transport to Melville I believe is 2 buses and a train. This is not an option for a yr 7 child in my mind.

While you are at it a stop in Willagee would be great. 8 minute drive but 1 hr on public transport. It's not an ideal situation for a 12yo.

Would appreciate a variety of times and locations in Melville for my children who will attend the school in the future. There’s at least 20-30 children at Melville PS who will be attending in the next few years.

We live in Lake Coogee. Getting to Kennedy isn’t too bad but only one 512 bus leaves in the afternoon and my children never have enough time to leave class, get to their locker and get there in time. There are several schools in the Spearwood area and if there was a bus service then Kennedy might increase enrolments.

One of the reasons why we sign for Kennedy is the school bus. I understand that it’s not enough to fill in a big bus. But can u sort it out and rent a mini bus for the kids?! We have to sacrifice our income and work to accomodate our kids. My son does public transportation 70% of the time. But their are days that he is exhausted travelling 3 public routes and needs a break from it.

We are in Hammond Park and my children currently take two buses and the train to get to school.
