As most of you would already be aware, there is no direct school bus service in the morning from this region which causes immense difficulties for the students. Its worth noting that due to a express service in the afternoon the travel time for the students reduces significantly as compared to the morning run. Apart from time, this lack of services causes other issues like safety etc.
We have been trying to approach the politicians in the area like Kevin Conolly and Michelle Rowland to request for a bus service but haven't been successful because of the request being rejected by the Transport minister. We have now decided to try and move a petition with as much representation as possible.
If you are just as keen to make your child's life better and give them a better chance to succeed at school, we need your help. Don't worry, we won't need much. All we are asking for at this stage is, sign this page and provide support to the application.

Safety of young students is paramount if Girraween high is to be considered by parents as their school of choice a bus service is essential
The afternoon bus is always full and clearly shows how many kids use this service. A morning service is really needed.
Providing a bus service in the afternoon, but not in the morning is ridiculous. Two services per day isn't a big ask.
Our grandson has been accepted at Girraween High School but cannot attend if there is no bus service.
This bus services is desperately needed to enable children from the north west suburbs around Glenwood and Kellyville Ridge area to safely and easily travel to Girraween HS in the mornings. There are no other fully selective high schools in the north west region (other than Baulkham Hills HS) so our choices are limited and so a school bus is desperately needed for these students who are fortunate enough to secure a placement at Girraween HS. Please provide a morning bus route to match the afternoon route.

In the best interest of high school students there should be a direct service from Glenwood to Girraween high school. It will help kids to focus more on their studies and school activities rather than wasting time in changing from one bus to another and at the same time it's safe as well. Hope government and concerned department will listen to public and help us with long standing demand.
