If you are a dog owner, dog lover, resident, holiday maker or visitor of the Mornington Peninsula please sign this Petition if you wish to at least preserve the current rules/laws governing the Lead Free Dog Friendly Beach at Cameron's Bight located between Stringer Road Blairgowrie and Settlers Cove Sorrento.

The current laws state that dogs may enjoy this beach lead free until 12pm midday and then on a lead after midday until 7pm from December to March..

We have had a home in Stringer road Blairgowrie and dogs for over 20 years. It’s an excellent dog friendly beach. The peninsula has kilometres of beaches where dogs are not allowed so people have many options if they don’t want to be near dogs at the beach.

Hands off our “leash free beaches”! There aren’t sufficient well designed leash free areas for dogs and their owners to enjoy. Reducing places in which we can exercise our dogs will mean an increase in nuisance complaints because dog owners won’t be able to adequately exercise and mentally stimulate their dogs.

Precious few places for free space. Precious people needing to control. Precious pooches needing a swim Precious people needing to CHILL. We are a community of people, domestic animals, wildlife and tourists. SHARE for crying out loud!

My beautiful best mate and I go to this beach all year round. He loves the socialising but loves swimming the most. In summer I can't walk him around our neighbourhood because he'll get burnt paws, this beach is our best option and we love it.

There is around 90 Kilometres of beach on the Mornington Peninsula for families to enjoy Dogs are only allowed on a handful of beaches and most of them they are not allowed on during the day during summer. We need more NOT less Dog beaches Dog benefit from socialising and swimming
