As owners of a house or apartment at Las Colinas, we choose to live and/or spend our vacation in a quiet, green, natural environment.

Since years construction companies are building many houses and apartment buildings which not only cause a lot of noise and dust disturbance for the inhabitants of the surrounding communities, but moreover a lot of construction waste is never cleaned up during or after completion of the project.

A recent incident hits it all! Since 2 years, construction company TRITON is building the Lavanda community. On top of the severe noise and dust disturbance for the inhabitants of the surrounding communities of Acacia 1, Acacia 2, Encina and Naranjo, they have now started dumping already more than 130 heavy truckloads of excavated soil and lots of construction waste into the beautiful nature of Las Colinas. The dumping zone has been marked as a green zone in the Las Colinas Master Plan. UNACCEPTABLE! This area between the different communities is a green zone where the original vegetation needs to be protected and conserved.

Requests to the Las Colinas management to stop this kind of DISRESPECT TO NATURE, have been waved away.

Help us to stop this by signing the attached petition! It will be handed over to the Las Colinas Management.

Please share it broadly so that people know that Las Colinas – awarded as ‘World’s Leading Golf & Villa Resort 2018’ and ‘European Property Awards Winner 2018-2019’ – is allowing this to happen and even refuses to take any action to support its property owners.

The scale of this response confirms the urgency of the situation. I have scheduled a formal meeting with the Las Colinas management team to present the collected evidence and our demands for site restoration.

The site management is absolutely unacceptable and a disgrace with huge health and safety implications for everyone.

We bought our house because we were told that there is a green place in front of it. It is a shame for all the owners. We trusted you and now are disappointed.

I support the petition to stop the dumping of waste at Las Colinas by Triton and protect the natural habitat. With this knowledge I would not buy a property by Triton now or in the future! Disgraceful behaviour by Triton and disappointing response by Las Colinas.

Unacceptable! To dump excavated soil you need a permit. Construction waste (bricks, plastic, carton board, ...) has to be collected and distroyed according to law.

Also the Limonero community is affected by this. A world apart ... not! Very sad. In the end we will end up with no trees anymore. It’s all about the money.
