The school board at Garden City High School wishes to change from Trimesters to Semesters. This petition will hopefully help with keeping the Trimesters.

The feedback I have received from families highlights how deeply the current structure supports student learning. I am currently compiling these experiences to share with the school board during our next public session.

Seeing this collective push for our current schedule confirms how much the trimester system shapes our daily lives at Garden City High. It is encouraging to watch so many people come together to advocate for the academic structure that serves our community best.

I understand that this is supposed to save money and make some courses easier to teach, but this hurts students who plan their high school years in advance. Adding this to the change from ACT to SAT will hurt student performance, especially the current sophomores' performances when they are juniors.
I graduated already.. but Trimesters were the best thing that happend to that school.. you get to adventure the different classes.. yes only a short period of time.. but these kids will get bored with the same class for 6 months. Trimesters are easier
please leave it the way it is. My son plays eight different instruments that I pay for and would not have that opportunity if the trimesters we're changed. Stop the aggressive actions against the children, and help someone for once.
trimesters are the main reason im still about to gradguate with my cless this year. trimester. allow you to get more. classes that you perfur while being able to still get the classes you need. these key points will push students to pursue there life courses

I really don't think this will have any acedemic value whatsoever. It is not only stupid, and unfair, but what are they REALLY trying to accomplish by switching to semesters in the middle of the school year?

Does the school really want students to become unsuccessful, fail more classes, and not graduate on time? The district switched to trimesters for a reason. What makes now ANY different then the last 6 years.
