Hey there!
If you've been walking Lockhart's town square this past year, you've probably seen people enjoying - or enjoyed yourself! - drinks and food on our custom parklett on Main St.
The city had graciously allowed a temporary permit for us to build the parklett to make up for loss of sales due to Covid, but we're hoping to keep it there permanently!
Not only is covid still affecting businesses, but we love to host diners who prefer to eat under the stars. We feel it helps transform the area into a lively, pedestrian-friendly walking downtown that we see in so many other beautiful small towns.
Please sign below and help us petition to the City of Lockhart to allow us to keep our parklett past the permit's ending on September 25th. Thanks xx

I spent the morning at City Hall trying to get a meeting on the books about our permit. The silence from the council is frustrating but we have to keep the pressure on. Send an email to your local representative today and demand they keep our parklett open for good.

The momentum for this parklett is building and the city council cannot ignore the support growing in our neighborhood. Post the petition link directly to the Lockhart community Facebook page today and email your local representative to demand they approve the permanent permit.

Many locals as well as tourists enjoy this area for the resting spot, shade and a chance to enjoy a cool drink while people watching! I have spoken with several people sitting there who relish the spot while their partners shop.
We love sitting outside in the parklett. It creates a great vibe on the street and is dog friendly. We need more outdoor spaces in the square.
I believe this to be a great addition to Lockhart's CCB district, and I hope more follow. This brings energy to the walking district, and could be a revenue source for the city. A real win-win for both businesses and city revenue if adopted.
I love sitting there! The parklet builds community. As we Austinites ate dinner with a group of people from Lockhart, many acquaintances and friends stopped to chat. A lively fun outdoor space also contributes to public safety and feeling safe.
I FULLY support keeping the outdoor area at Little Trouble. We own several Airbnb’s and this space gives our guests outdoor seating options.
It looks great! It was nice to sit there and watch downtown and enjoy my time there.
