Reading in utter disbelief! Its hard to believe someone so caring and helpful can be treated so badly! After years of visiting its safe to say we will no longer visit Allington lock if this continues to go ahead!
Tim's contribution to the management of the lock is immeasurable. His dedication and commitment to his work is quite remarkable, he should be valued by The EA. Staff with his impeccable work ethic do not come around often.
I've stayed at the camping huts on the lock and I've seen Tim at work. He is an asset to the EA. I know his family well and he is a kind and decent man and I find it very hard to believe he would ever be unprofessional. Victoria Foster - solicitor
Tim is one of Allington's greatest attributes, welcoming, professional and excellent at his job. It would be extremely disappointing if this decision is not overturned and would definitely be detrimental to the local community.
This is unbelievable Tim Benger is the most caring and professional lock keeper we have ever met in 15 years on the Medway and the Thames. He has such expertise and knowledge and takes his responsibilities so seriously in a potentially dangerous field of work
Please keep our lock keeper at Allington Lock, they are our advisor our helper. They advise us, correctly when we can use the tidal part of the river safely.
River Drums, you have done a good Job with Tim’s partition.You are a very clever Drummer to obtain your information, you must work for the company or are married to someone who does. Keep it up. Tim Benger who my wife and I have known and worked with at Allington Castle have always helps Tim in the highest regard, and has been a great asset to the EA as the Lock Kepper and liasor for Allington Castle estate work. Tim has always been a good character and a gentleman at all times.
