Some updates for you all. The EA has been monitoring the petition regularly and emailing managers regarding the comments. The case is heading toward acas because the EA is declining to address the matter..

Incredible.....I do t know the full story but I have been to that lock 3 or 4 times a week for over 30 years and Tim was never anything but professional......

In my opinion it is another mistake by the E A. By sacking Tim Benger they have sacked the best lockeeper since paul kiefer of the N R A30 years ago. They should have sacked the other lockeeper who is no good at all. But he is friends with the boss!!!! Time Benger is a ex Royal navy officer with 23 years at sea. He has served in the Falklands the gulf and many other places and has a commendation from the QUEEN. He has worked at allington lock for almost 11 years. He loved his job always working in the lock area and never sat down , always had a smile on his face and nothing was too much trouble if you needed help . He was also smartly dressed and would help the campers ect.
I have never seen the other lockeeper in the camping area! !!!.

Was always smartly dressed and helped the campers ect .I have never seen the other lockeeper in the camping area, maybe he feels they are beneath him!!!

Unless proven otherwise, this man is innocent according to common law. As such any punative actions taken against him are wholly illegal and contrary to employment and UK law.
