We the undersigned hereby call upon the RNLI to sack the Management of New Brighton Lifeboat Station, and the Launching Authority and the deputy Launching Authority, whose management has brought the service into disrepute.

They have allowed the station to become dirty and unkempt, the Lifeboat to be left locked outside the station, whilst the Hovercraft which has been removed to Hoylake is in an awful condition, and now they have allowed the tractor unit to be damaged by being submerged.

The volunteers who have been brought in haven't a clue about the River Mersey or the Irish Sea, and are therefore putting lives at risk. We believe the Volunteers who have been sacked should be reinstated with immediate effect so that the station can once more operate in a safe and effective way, and once more be a proud operational station.

I am honestly overwhelmed by how many people have taken an interest in this cause. This momentum belongs entirely to you because I never imagined the response would grow this quickly.

Same thing has happened here in Jersey ,skipper sacked ,so crew walked away . RNLI changed the locks overnight and sent over five crew . Who know nothing of our waters . Caused a big uproar here . Seems to be a trend

How can these brainless managers be allowed to put lives at risk.you need people who know this river and the strong tides we encounter around this piece of coast.time is critical in winter when falling in.good luck with your fight for reinstatement

As a supporter of the RNLI for many years, I am very disappointed that my hard earned donations seem to be being lost due to the poor handling of the situation at the New Brighton station. What a waste.

We the people of new Brighton need to have a lifeboat station and crew who know everything about the dangerous tides around the Mersey . Also people who not only know how to keep people safe but also the equipment, recently there have been farcical mistakes .

to lose these experienced crew members would be a sad loss, leading to possible loss of life, whilst new people need to be trained it is the people who know the river and all its dangers would be the ones to train newcomers,

Lives are being put at risk. Do the right thing and reinstate the crew NOW before there is any unnecessary loss of life
