We as a community do not approve of our children interacting with missionaries in the parks and/or participating with them in food and activities. We do not want our parks turned into places of religious debate, religious antagonism, and/or child predation. We ask that Dearborn residents only sign this petition.

The stories shared in the comments reflect a growing concern among parents about the quiet presence of strangers in our neighborhood parks. Our focus remains on preserving these spaces as safe environments where our families can gather without unwanted influence.

Seeing this conversation grow across our neighborhood reminds me that many of us share the same vision for our local parks. This momentum indicates that parents are eager to preserve a safe space for their families to play without external pressures.

This is a new low in attempts to lure small kids and teach them lies against their own religion by giving out pizzas and candies. The missionaries can feel free to approach the local mosques for debates with ADULTS.

Not only are they talking to my kids, but taking over our communitie’s fun and relaxing spot. They are truly making us uncomfortable.

No preaching in our parks. Do not target women and little kids with religious preaching.

If they want to talk to the adults we’re perfectly fine, but the kids, that’s a big no!!

Recently, our Dearborn parks have become a hot-bed for Christian missionary activity. These missionaries show up with food and candy, "fun and games" for children etc. Children from the ages of 5-15 years old are directly antagonized into theological conversations without their parents consent or approval. We as a community would like these type of interactions to be held in appropriate venues, not public parks. Please sign today to express your concern!
