FOR THE PROTECTION OF OUR CHILDREN IN SILSBEE, TEXAS #ProtectingOurCubs
This petition is for the following:
As most of you know there have been a few sex offenders located near our shools in town. We as parents are concerned for the safety of our children (all the children of our small town). These potential predators are too close for comfort for most of our community. So our goal is to creat a city wide ordinance that prevents any sex offenders, no matter the crime; would be unable to establish a permanent residence or temporary residence within 1,500 feet of any premises where children commonly gather, including, but not limited to, a school, day care facility, playground, public or private youth center, public swimming pool or video arcade facility.
All the signatures we get will be presented to the city council Sept. 19,2016 @ 6 p.m.
We encourage everyone to be there so we canvoice our concern together. This is fornour chikdren and their safety and we are stronger in numbers...Tiger Nation needs to stand strong for the protection of our kids!!

I will keep My child and ANY other child safe at any cost! Law or Not! It is ultimately our responsibility to protect our children! It would sure be nice though to have a law to back us up WHEN we do!
I am concerned that this community does not have an ordinance concerning these predators this close to our children. Surely we are not going to wait for something to happen to react.
I assumed there was already some sort of law in place to avoid situations like this. This is down right UNACCEPTABLE. They are children and should never have to worry if the creepy guy down the street is gunna ask them to come play.
These men sexually assaulted minors, young minors, and have no right to live anywhere near a school.
I want this ordinance not just for my children that attend the elementary schools but for everyone's chil/children.
It won't let me sign in.
This seriously needs to be taken care of!!! Why are they allow to even be around a school with children!
